Dear Friends,

It has been wisely said that the first generation believes and proclaims the gospel, the next generation assumes the gospel, and the third generation denies the gospel. As a result, rediscovering and proclaiming the core truths of the gospel is essential for every generation. This is why I am excited to invite you to attend The Wittenberg Center for Reformation Studies National Conference, The Re-Formation Conference: Rediscovering and Proclaiming the 5 Solas Today, hosted by our church from January 17–19, 2025.

The WCRS conference will focus on the five solas: sola Scriptura (Scripture alone), sola gratia (grace alone), sola fide (faith alone), solus Christus (Christ alone), and soli Deo gloria (to the glory of God alone). These five solas capture and summarize core truths of the gospel that were rediscovered and proclaimed by the Protestant Reformers during the sixteenth-century Reformation. Far from being historical relics of a bygone era, the truths encapsulated by the five solas are as relevant and necessary for the church today as they were in the sixteenth century.

The WCRS conference promises to be a spiritually enriching, intellectually stimulating, and soul-assuring experience. We are honored to welcome a distinguished lineup of internationally renowned scholars of the Protestant Reformation. I encourage you to invite your family and friends, and to bring any theological questions you may have regarding the five solas. There will be ample opportunity to engage with some of the foremost scholars in the field, making this conference not only an educational experience but also a time of spiritual renewal.

Given the caliber of the speakers and the importance of the topic, we expect high attendance, and tickets are already in high demand. As seating is limited, I encourage you to register as soon as possible to secure your place. Please note that the conference will conclude at noon following the worship service at Paramount Church on Sunday. Should you have any questions or require further information prior to the conference, feel free to contact us.

I look forward to welcoming you in January as we draw deeply from the wellsprings of the five solas, which summarize fundamental truths of the gospel of grace and gratitude as rediscovered and proclaimed by the Protestant Reformers of the sixteenth century.

Gospel blessings,
Pastor John
